Positive Leadership Award 2022 is presented to

Anne-Wil Harzing

who has been selected from 11 688 nominations submitted from 22 countries across six continents and recognized as a positive leadership champion, helping people, teams and organizations thrive

Winner’s Best Practice

Positive leadership is not about flashy strategic initiatives. These are often more about words than about action. It Is about being consistently respectful, considerate, and caring towards others, and unlocking people’s potential to make a difference. My leadership was shaped by my early life experiences of not feeling included. Small things I do that can be applied everywhere are writing LinkedIn recommendations for colleagues, sending someone doing a great job a heartfelt email (with a cc to their line manager), making time for informal conversations, encouraging colleagues to share their successes and failures by creating inclusive cultures, and leveraging any event that I organise by making its resources available to everyone.
