Positive Leadership Award 2022 is presented to

Sennait Ghebreab

who has been selected from 11 688 nominations submitted from 22 countries across six continents and recognized as a positive leadership champion, helping people, teams and organizations thrive

Winner’s Best Practice

My positive leadership comes from an incredible cultural sensitivity, as for my international background. This is what I bring into my approach of teaching in class and when I am managing my team. I believe in 3 key values in my approach to leadership: authenticity, integrity and humility. The nature of my positive leadership is embedded in the kind of work I do on a daily basis with my students and my team. I have both students and tutors coming from all over the world. Mentoring their paths and developing their personal strengths is, I believe, my duty and I try to fulfil it every year, every month and every day to the best of my possibilities. In Higher education this aspect is so important and it can contribute to real success creating a team that can be empowered and rooted on true values like trust and mutual support.
